Screenwriter and director Steven Knight is to team up with producer Ridley Scott, and actor Tom Hardy for new BBC1 television drama ‘Taboo’.
Set in 1813, Taboo is an eight-part drama that will see Hardy play a rogue adventurer battling the East India Company and on a quest to avenge his father’s death.
The series is based on a story written by Hardy and his father Chips Hardy, and is a co-production between BBC1 and Sonar Entertainment. Shooting will start in the UK in January 2015.
