A spin-off movie from the popular Harry Potter franchise has been scheduled for a 2016 release date.
Published in 2001, JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, based on a textbook used by Harry Potter at Hogwarts, is being made into a trilogy by movie studio Warner Brothers.
Many had believed that JK Rowling would not expand the “Harry Potter universe” with any new films outside the original book series, but in a recent interview she said she was quickly convinced of the merits of the project.
The studio have not released any word on the casting, but have announced that the first film in the series will hit the cinemas on 18 November 2016.
