Three people have been charged with helping police-killer Dale Cregan evade capture for two murders.
Marvin Herbert, Raj Mohammed Khan and Patricia Kelly have been charged with conspiracy to assist an offender.
The three are alleged to have helped Cregan evade police during a huge man-hunt for him in Greater Manchester last year after he killed gangland rivals David and Mark Short. After eight days on the run, Cregan called 999 to lure police officers Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes to a house before killing them using a gun and grenade. He then turned himself in at a police station.
Cregan was sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order for the four murders on 13 June 2013.
Cregan was reportedly on hunger strike in August whilst at Full Sutton prison, after which he was moved to Ashworth Hospital.
