Jay-Z has found somewhat of an impressive advertising coup in time for the release of his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail, by convincing Salisbury Cathedral to have its album art in a display case in the actual Magna Carta exhibition.
The Magna Carta is a document that dates back from 1205 and is the first document forced upon a king by his barons in an attempt to limit his powers and protect their powers under law. It is considered by many as one of the first documents that showed a move away from absolute monarchy and a small step towards the democracies we have today.
I wonder how many new roofs for the cathedral Jay Z has paid for with this marketing stunt?
