Coca-Cola bringing India and Pakistan together

Drinks giant Coca-Cola has decided to make the universality of its brand across the world and throughout cultures a positive in bringing together two communities separated by a barbed wire fence but just 60 years.

The mistrust and tensions between India and Pakistan has defined the relationship between the two countries since the independence of Pakistan and India after British rule in 1947. Much of that mistrust is born out of the tensions between the governments of the two countries, but with the countries cut off from each other, it is easy to form suspicions.

To combat this lack of interaction between the communities Coca-Cola created connected interactive vending machines in each country that got Indians and Pakistanis to work together and see their similarities over their differences.
