Harlem residents watching the “Harlem Shake” videos
You must have been living under a rock, or at least somewhere without an internet connection, to have avoided seeing at leas one of the numerous “Harlem Shake” videos that have been making the rounds. They’re so popular you may well have even been in one.
But how do the people of Harlem feel about people around the world shaking their bodies to Bauer’s track? Schlepp Films went to the streets of Harlem, New York to find out and it appears that “dance is a way of life” and they aren’t too pleased that people have taken the name of a real hip hop dance move and attributed it to this popular meme.
