A toxic orange cloud hung for hours over six towns in north eastern Spain after a chemical explosion at a warehouse on Thursday morning.
Spanish authorities urged residents of towns in the municipality of Igualada to stay indoors, as they waited for the toxic cloud to dissipate.
Emergency services gave the “all clear” on Friday morning, and said that the three people injured in the blast were out of danger.
The explosion at Simar, a chemical distribution company, is believed to have been caused by human error during a delivery, with the orange cloud caused by a mixtures of nitric acid and ferric chloride amongst other chemicals.
