A man has been arrested after posting an advert on Craigslist looking to have sex with a woman and a dog in the US state of Arizona.
Terry Haupt, 52, was arrested bestiality charges on Wednesday after a sting operation by local police.
According to court documents, an undercover female police officer replied to Haupt’s advert that asked for “women that are interested in dogs” on 25 August. The officer then continued to engage with Haupt over email, text message, and in phone conversations for the next two weeks.
During their these interactions, and unaware he was the target of a police operation, Haupt allegedly told her that he wanted to have sex with her and a dog at the same time, which police described as ‘probably cause’ for his arrest.
On Wednesday, the officer told Haupt to meet her in a hotel room.
As Haupt entered the hotel room, he was met by the undercover officer and a dog, and as he petted the dog the officer arrested him.
According to court records, Haupt admitted that he was at the hotel to engage in sex with the woman and the dog after being arrested and being read his rights.
