An Asda shopper was left surprised after having purchased a discounted loaf of bread for a whopping £450.
Warehouse worker John Brown, 37, had intended to pick up a few items in a Wolverhampton Asda store, which should have cost him under a fiver, but the jam, eggs, and bread ending up costing him £453.19, with one load of multigrain bread setting him back £450.
Brown didn’t look at his bill and see the eye-watering total when at the self-service check-out, but soon spoted the hit to his bank balance.
Asda has blamed the incident on a computer glitch and has offered the shopper a full refund along with an apology for the inconvenience.
