We’ve all hit snooze just a few too many times on our alarm clocks in the morning, but a US inventor has come up with one way to make sure we get up straight away – have your alarm clock start shredding money if you don’t switch it off.
Rich Olson hacked together a Sparkfun Clockit and a USB paper shredder to create the device, that means you are literally wasting money by lying in.
We should point out that destroying currency may well be an offence wherever you may live, and some have warned Olson that he may be committing a federal offence with the clock. He seems unpeterbed, however, saying:
“To all those saying the feds are going to take me away – I’m not that concerned.”
