The world’s largest video game collection, which is made up of over 11,000 titles, has been sold for over a quarter of a million dollars.
Michael Thomasson, 43, who won the title of owning the most games in the world in 2012, listed his collection of games for sale on the auction site Game Gavel.
The bidding started at $1, and out of 56 potential buyers ‘Peeps_10091970’ won the auction with a bid of $750,250 (£442,710) and is now the holder of the official Guinness World Record for the largest games collection in the world.
More than 2,600 of the games are factory sealed and over 8,300 come with both the box and manual.
Thomasson said he regretted having to sell his games, but that it was due to an immediate need from family and extended family.
