Inspired by the success of the Continental GT3 race car, Bentley has unveiled the Continental GT3-R road-going version.

The model will be limited to 300 cars, all hand built in Crewe before being finished and tuned by Bentley’s Motorsport team.

The car sports a tuned version of the 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which now produces 572bhp, and bentley have managed to shave off 100kg from the weight of the V8 S by making change such as removing the rear seats and manufacturing the exhaust from titanium.

As a result of the changes, the Continental GT3-R goes from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and a new torque vectoring system should help improve cornering at speed.

Pricing will be revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but all 300 cars will be finished in Glacier White, with GT3-inspired green graphics running down the sides.
