UN agencies in Syria are relocating and restricting movement of staff due to rising insecurity that is getting closer to the capital.
After a two-day blackout, internet services resumed in Syria on Saturday, and a “spontaneous campaign of solidarity with the silenced Syrian people” began to make waves on the internet as “This is Damascus” or “هنا_دمشق”.
Armed opposition groups fighting in Syria are using children for combat and other military purposes, with children as young as 14 serving in at least three opposition brigades, transporting weapons and supplies and acting as lookouts, and children as young as 16 have carrying arms and taking combat roles against government forces.
