Interpol have issued a “red notice” for the arrest of UK national Samantha Lewthwaite at the request of Kenyan authorities over the recent terror attack on the Westgate mall in Nairobi.
Interpol are “confident” that a man arrested in Singapore last week was the mastermind behind what is considered the world’s “most aggressive match-fixing syndicate” said secretary general Ron Noble.
Citing an Interpol investigation underway with the cooperation of Mastercard and Visa, Czech-based payment processor iKoruna discontinued service to file-hosting sites this week. The target of the investigation was not announced but transaction information was handed over to Interpol and all remaining funds have been frozen. The news comes soon after an Italian prosecutor announced a major crackdown on file-hosting sites, including some iKoruna clients.
Last year, Indian and U.S. investigators came upon a rare promising lead in an internationally sensitive case: the 2008 attacks on Mumbai that killed 166 people and implicated Pakistan’s spy agency in terrorism.
