President Barack Obama has commuted the sentence Chelsea Manning received for leaking documents to Wikileaks in 2010.
Private Manning was yesterday sentenced to 35 years in jail for leaking a trove of documents to Wikileaks, but also made a statement saying “I am Chelsea Manning…I am a female.”
Bradley Manning has been sentenced to 35 years in Prison by Judge Colonel Denise Lind, who in July found him guilty of 20 charges including espionage.
Bradley Manning, the US Army private and source of the leaks of hundreds of thousands of classified cables to Wikileaks, has been convicted of espionage and other charges, but not of aiding the enemy.
