The battle for Aleppo appears continues to escalate today as government forces have sent an armoured column of to reinforce the military personnel already fighting for control of the city and following the air strikes on Free Syrian Army (FSA) strongholds yesterday.
Assad’s fighter jets have bombed areas in eastern Aleppo, Syria’s business capital where the rebels have found recent success.
Government forces have started to regain control of many of the areas in Damascus showing their superior firepower. In the business capital of Aleppo the rebels have taken control of large parts of the city and are withstanding heavy artillery shelling from government forces.
The protests and fighting in Damascus continued overnight and into this morning as the Syrian military have continued their shelling campaign on the city.
