An astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) has captured footage of a lightning storm on Earth from his unique perspective.
American astronaut Reid Wiseman has posted a number of clips on the video sharing site Vine of his time on the ISS, ranging from a single orbit of the Earth, to growing vegetables on board the spacecraft.
However, it is his most recent clip of lightning hypnotically flashing through a blanket of clouds above Houston, Texas that has gone viral.
Wiseman follows in the path of Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield whose photographs, videos, and Reddit discussions from aboard the ISIS reignited the public’s imagination about space exploration and the perspective it offers humanity.
