Film Review: Man of Steel

In 2006, acclaimed director Bryan Singer delivered his Superman reboot to mild fanfare and mostly quizzical audiences. ‘Man Of Steel’ again kickstarts the Superman mythos, with a more divisive figure at its helm – Zack Snyder, an understandable choice considering his relative talent in capturing action as seen in the likes of ‘300’ and ‘Watchmen’. Snyder was joined by Christopher Nolan behind the scenes, but does ‘Man Of Steel’ provide the Superman we deserve?

Introducing: Young War

There are only a couple of Young War tracks currently online, a demo of ‘Say That It’s Love’ and free download ‘Rose Gold’. The former track offers forth Stone’s soulful vocal alongside Timbaland-inspired beats, whereas the latter opts for more of a smooth grooves feel, complete with sleazy guitar licks.

Internet Forever – White Light Collision Course

I was rather pleasantly surprised when indie-pop trio Internet Forever’s debut album emerged last year, which I described as a “deliriously giddy ride”. I can imagine the band bring a similar vibe to their live show, which is handy, as they’ve just announced a new tour.

2009’s ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra’ received mixed reviews, although I found its combination of comedy and action to be quite satisfying. Hence, I was one of the minority to actually be looking forward to ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’.
