Boris Johnson has back-pedalled on his controversial comments about people with low IQs before failing an IQ test on live radio.

After explaining that he was misinterpreted in his speech about inequality, claiming that he was in fact warning about the dangers of the rising levels of inequality in the UK.

LBC radio presenter Nick Ferrari then challenged the London Mayor to answer three questions from an intelligence on air.

In an awkward exchange, Johnson got the first two questions wrong before refusing to answer the third before the presenter called Johnson out for raising the question of IQ in relation to inequality.
