We might not quite be at the Minority Report stage where advertising is personalised to each person and talks back to you, but British Airways have added a new layer of interactivity to their billboard ads by displaying information about the flights as they go overhead through a clever usage of GPS data.
As a plane goes over the BA billboard in London’s Piccadilly Cricus, the child on the screen appears distracted by the noise of the plane, looks up, points, and follows the aircraft as it goes overhead, with the name of flight showing up on the screen next to him.
