A pilot was forced to leap from his aircraft after he lost control when a skydiver’s parachute damaged the tail on Saturday.
Shawn Kinmartin, 21, was flying four clients of Fly Free Skydiving for a jump in Misssouri when the parachute of the final skydiver damaged the tail of his Cessna 182.
After struggling with the controls to steer the plane away from a populated area, Kinmartin checked his parachute and made his first jump.
Kinmartin landed safely, and the plane eventually crashed into a corn field, much to his relief.
