Street artist Banksy has created a host of new works in Gaza, and created a mock tourism video for the besieged Palestinian city.

The secretive graffiti artist created the works in the wake of the Israeli’s Operation Protective Edge, which saw 18,000 Palestinian homes reduced to rubble.

The two-month aerial bombardment and ground offensive by Israeli forces resulted in over 2,200 deaths, the vast majority of which were Palestinians, including 62 Palestinian children.

Banksy’s new works include a stencil Israeli security tower/children’s swing, a cat playing with a ball of rusting metal, and the video ends with the statement:

“If we wash our hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless we side with the powerful – we don’t remain neutral”
