More than 20 people have been killed in the latest round Israeli air strikes on Gaza, as Israel’s “Operation Protective Edge” bombing campaign entered its third day.

Nine Palestinians were killed and 15 injured when an missile flattened a beach-side cafe in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, where Palestinians were watching the Netherlands vs Argentina World Cup game, according to AFP.

80 Palestinians have now been killed since Israel begun its “police action” of over 650 air strikes against reported Hamas targets in response to the kidnap and murder of three Israeli teenagers and rockets being fired over the border.

Palestinian militants continue to fire rockets into Israel, with their M75s and M302 rocket launchers capable to targeting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv from within Gaza.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system has intercepted a handful of rockets, including seven last night, with dozens of others falling on uninhabited areas. No Israeli’s have been injured in the exchanges.
