Two people have died and seven people were arrested in a police raid on a flat in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis.

One man was killed in a shoot-out with police and a woman blew herself up with a suicide vest as armed police stormed a flat believed to be connected to Friday’s terror attacks in Paris that left 129 people dead and more than 400 wounded.

Three men were arrested at the apartment, and four others were arrested in connection to the location, including the man who owned the apartment.

The raid was focused on the alleged mastermind of the Paris attacks, 27-year-old Belgian of Moroccan Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who intelligence suggested may have been in the flat.

The operation began at 04:20 local time (03.20 GMT), and after seven hours is now over, according to government officials.
