A shocking video has emerged online of an arsonist setting fire to a bus packed with people in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on Saturday.

The security camera footage shows a man pouring banana oil, a paint thinner, on the floor of the bus and then setting it alight at 17:03 (10:03 BST) on Saturday.

28 passengers aboard the bus were evacuated to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine for treatment, 14 with serious injuries.

The arsonist, whose identity remains unclear, is also receiving treatment for serious injuries at the same hospital.
