Former ITV weatherman Fred Talbot has been found guilty of the indecent assault of two teenage boys during his time as a teacher.

Talbot, 65, denied abusing boys, the the jury at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester found him guilty on two counts of indecent assault against two boys at Altrincham Grammar School, where he taught biology, during school-organised canal boat trips.

The weatherman was cleared on eight further charges of indecent assault.

Talbot was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 13 March.
