A video has emerged online showing a cyclist being purposefully knocked off his bike by a white van, before the driver gets out of the van and assaults him.

The driver of a van marked as belonging to Billericay-based Taylor Landscaping steered into the cyclists until his wheel clipped the curb, causing him to fall from his bike onto the pavement. The driver then gets out of the van, shouts abuse at the cyclists, before punching him until another cyclist intervenes.

The incident occurred in front of the Shish Meze restaurant in Emerson Park, Essex with the date on the video showing 5 December 2014.

No charges have been filed over the episode, with Essex Police calling on the cyclist to come forward.
