A former world number five snooker star has been charged with fraud by Wiltshire police.

Stephen Lee, 39, from Trowbridge, has been charged with fraud by false representation in relation to the sale of a snooker cue.

He has been bailed to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 28 May.

Lee is currently suspended by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), after he was found guilty in September of seven charges of match-fixing between 2008 and 2009.
