Police investigating the disappearance of Bristol teenager Becky Watts say that they have found body parts and arrested four men and a woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A 28-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder last week and remain in custody.
The body parts were discovered at a house in the Barton Hill area of Bristol after a tip off late on Monday night. They have not yet been identified, but Becky’s parents have been informed of the discovery.
Becky, 16, was last seen at her home in St George, Bristol, on 19 February.
Det Supt Mike Courtiour, of Avon and Somerset Police, said:
“The information suggested that Becky’s body had been cut up and a search at the new location resulted in the discovery of body parts.
“Although formal identification procedures have not yet been completed, we have made Becky’s family aware of this discovery.”
