Cannabis plants up to a metre tall have been found growing alongside landmarks around central London, including the Tower of London and along the South Bank.

As they are not cultivating the plants and simply scattering hemp seeds, then they claim that their actions are legal as they are just “feeding the birds”, a position confirmed by the Home Office.
Cannabis was demoted to a class C drug between 2004 and 2009, but was reclassified as class B, after a review that many have complained was not based on facts about harm caused by the drug’s use.
In the US, a number of states have decriminalised cannabis in recent months either for medical or general use, while it officially remains a banned substance under federal law.
