The latest poll of voting intentions in the upcoming Scottish independence referendum shows the Better Together (No) campaign in the lead by six percent.
The Survation poll for the Daily Record, which surveyed 1000 Scots, showed 47.6% plan to vote No a week tomorrow with only 42.4% voting Yes.
The men polled were evenly split between support for the Yes and No campaigns, but women were more likely to vote to maintain the Union, with 48.5% supporting Better Together compared to 38.6% supporting independence.
The poll showed 10% of the Scottish population remain undecided and could swing the result either way.
The survey was performed between 5-9 September, and is a direct comparison to the YouGov poll that gave the Yes campaign a 2% lead. It does not show the effect of the YouGov poll on voting intentions, and whether that result caused a surge in popularity for the Yes campaign with independence a real possibility or whether it caused support for the Better Together campaign to rally.
