An explosion in a coal mine at Soma in western Turkey has killed at least 201 workers, with dozens more injured.
Rescue teams have worked through the night to try and find survivors, but Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said that hopes were fading of finding anyone else alive.
Relatives of trapped miners have gathered around the mine in the hope of good news about their loved ones.
Fresh air was being pumped into the mine, to try and prevent anyone left alive in the mine from dying of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The explosion occurred at around 12:30 GMT on Tuesday and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault within the mine. The fault also caused a power cut making the cage lifts inoperable, trapping the miners a reported 2km beneath the surface and 4km form the mine entrance.
An investigation into the blast has been launched by Soma Komur Isletmeleri, the mine’s private owners.
The Turkish government have declared three days of mourning over the tragedy.
