As the crisis continues in Ukraine, with top diplomats from the US, Russia, and Europe discussing how to peacefully move forward, Prime Minister David Cameron wanted to get in on the action of looking serious and concerned on the phone and posted a photo of him doing just that to Twitter.

Seeing it as the self-marketing ploy that it was, Twitter roundly mocked Cameron for the picture, with a number of familiar faces sharing their own serious phone faces including comedian Rob Delaney and Sir Patrick Stewart.

And many other people taking to using props or using Photoshop to make sure the Prime Minister understands that trying to show off on Twitter may not be the best plan:

  1. Hi,
David Cameron’s serious phone picture mocked online. Sorry I am confused Mr. Cameron. Ukraine; a democratically elected government is disposed and an arrest warrant is issues for the deposed President by a street government
outside democracy. Many components of the street government can be classed as fascist and not representative of the people and just a KKK vigilantly forcing it will on people. They applied to the EU for money (a lot of money), we may have the biggest hold-up of all time.
