Sam Smith was the big winner at the 2015 Grammy Awards in the US, scooping four prizes including record of the year, song of the year, and best new artist. The British soul singer was also praised for being the only solo artist to sell more than a million albums in both the UK and US in 2014
Elsewhere, Beck’s Morning Phase won album of the year and best rock album and Pharrell Williams won the award for best pop solo performance and best video for his song Happy.
