UKIP has said they are investigating the comments after one of the party’s Leicester council candidates described the city as a “shithole…full of pakis”.
Richard Crouch, UKIP’s Bosworth and South Leicestershire branch secretary and failed party candidate in a council by-election last year, made the comments on Facebook while showing his support for Leicester City FC.
Twitter user SLATUKIP first publicised the comments in a tweet:

Crouch is quoted as saying:
“It may be britains biggest shithole, we may be full of pakis, but u can;t help supporting where u come from, come on leicester, premiership bound”
Crouch as since deleted his Facebook account and UKIP spokesperson has said:
“His comments will be investigated and considered at the earliest opportunity by the National Executive Committee as part of an established disciplinary procedure.”
