“Friends” actor David Schwimmer has helped the New York Police Department solve a stabbing investigation, after his CCTV camera caught the entire incident.
According to the New York Post, Schwimmer invited police officers into his East Village townhouse on Monday to review the footage.
A fight broke out in the building adjoining Schwimmer’s house in the early hours of Monday morning between a 26-year-old called “John”, a transvestite prostitute, and 21-year-old Robert Rainey.
John sustained stab wounds to the face during the fight, and the three men ended up crashing through a glass lobby door.
After the brawl, the prostitute ran off and Rainey was arrested and charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and robbery.
John was treated for his injuries at Bellvevue Hospital.
