A husband and wife have been found guilty of murdering the woman’s parents and burying their bodies in the garden of the Mansfield home in 1998.

Susan Edwards, 55, and Christopher Edwards, 57, shot Patricia and William Wycherley and emptied their bank accounts between 1998 and 2013 in an incident dubbed the “garden bodies murders”.

The pair had admitted to theft of the credit balance and obstructing the coroner, and Susan Edwards had admitted manslaughter of her mother, but a jury at Nottingham Crown Court found them both guilty of murder.
