A nurse who fantasised about murdering and eating a teenage girl has been convicted for the sexual grooming of a young girl.
Dale Bolinger, 58, met a 14-year-old Mexican girl called Eva through an fetish website and attempted to meet her after grooming her online.
The jury at Cantebury Crown Court heard that Bolinger described the sex acts he wanted to perform on the girl on the fantasy Dark Fetish Network website and went out to buy an axe before attempting to meet the girl in real life.
They arranged that Eva would travel from Germany to meet Bolinger at Ashford International station, but she failed to turn up.
Bolinger described his cannibalism fantasy as “Jekyll and Hyde”, but claimed that he would never act on the fantasy as he would never hurt anyone.
However, the jury found him guilty of attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following sexual grooming and he will be sentenced on 19 September.
