Kid Koala is the stage name of Canadian DJ Eric San, known for his turntablist style and love of re-descovering old jazz and blues records. Back on his debut Scratchcratchratchatch mixtape in ’96 there was a vocal sample used that mentioned building a “finger powered record player”, and with the release of his latest album, 12 Bit Blues, that is exactly what he has done.
