A mysterious, glowing squid-like creature has been spotted by onlookers at Bristol harbour.
Footage of the creature was uploaded to YouTube by John Tombe, with people commenting that it could be anything from a bioluminescent jellyfish to a hoax. Some have even claimed it might be an alien.
Marine biologists have suggested that it may be a salp washed into the harbour by the current stormy weather affecting the UK.
A number of marine animals have the capability of bioluminescence where they can produce visible light within their bodies, but such a creature has not been spotted on British shores before.
