In a tragic end to a wedding celebration in Yemen, a man fired his AK-47 in an attempt to celebrate along with others dancing to PSY’s Gangnam Style but accidentally shot and killed three guests, injuring a fourth.
A video of the celebration-turned-disaster has been posted online, showing how the events unfolded. Boys are shown on the dancefloor following the dance-moves to the worldwide hit, with one man on the dancefloor dancing with an assault rifle in his hands. He then accidentally shoots a few rounds from the gun at point-blank range at those around him to the screams of those around him.
Celebratory gunfire is common in Yemen and other parts of the region, with injuries not uncommon, but any deaths at what should be such a happy occasion is tragic.
