The body of missing fashion designer Michele Savoia was found in the Hudson River on Sunday.
Savoia, 55, was last seen leaving the Marquee Club in Chelsea around 04:00 local time on Thursday according to police.
He is understood to have slipped on an aluminium ramp attempting to board his boat moored at Pier 59 at Chelsea Piers, plunging into the near-freezing water below.
Savoia was known for his flamboyant style reminiscent of the 1930s and 1940s, and designed the costumes for a number of Broadway shows depicting that period.
