The Syrian rebels have long felt deserted by the international community who have stood by and let Assad’s superior military force leave many of those fighting for a secular democracy dead.

Whilst the use of chemical weapons was rightly condemned, with a threat of US military action forcing Assad to discuss giving up his arsenal, there is an inherent problem with the lack of action over the previous 100,000 casualties of the war.

For much of the conflict, a town in north-west Syria called Kafranbel has been the creative centre the Syrian revolution, and has been the location for many of the provocative posters and signs that have mocked Assad as well as the international community for their actions or lack thereof.

The citizens of the town have now created a video (above) to mock the Russian support of Assad and the US response to his use of chemical weapons, with neither power defending the Syrian people.
