300 objects have been detected by a Thai satellite in the area of the southern Indian Ocean 1,500km from Perth, Australia, where the search for the missing plane continues.

The images, published in Thailand’s The Nation newspaper, were taken by the Thaichote satellite on 24 March, and shows an area similar to that in which a French satellite spotted 122 floating objects. However, no objects have yet been recovered by ships in the area, with searching efforts hampered by poor weather.

Flight MH370 disappeared on 8 March with 239 people on board.
