The majority of people in England are happy with the services provided by their local GP surgeries, but results are starting to slip, according to the latest GP Patient Survey by NHS England.

The percentage of people that said they would recommend their local surgery to someone who had recently moved to the area also fell slightly from 82% in 2012 to 79% in 2014.
86% were successfully able to get appointment to see or speak to someone at their surgery, but those describing the experience of getting the appointment as very good has fallen from 38% in 2012 to 34% this year.
