A man who killed four-year-old Riley Turner in his sleep in a “savage and sadistic” attack has been given a whole-life sentence.

Anwar Rosser, 33, had been staying with the Turner family at their home in Keighley, West Yorkshire when he abused their generosity and savagely murdered Riley on 20th January 2013.

Rosser admitted to the murder, although he gave no motive for the brutal attack.

Sentencing him at Bradford Crown Court, Mr Justice Coulson said:

“You must go to prison for life”

In a statement, the Turner family said:

“While justice has now been done, no sentence will ever be enough for what we are going through and what that man has done to our family.

It will not bring our little man back.”
