Earlier on in the year, our heads turned and ears tuned in to enigmatic London pairing Modern Air when we got ahold of Industry, the smouldering lead to a propitious EP infested with gelid electronics that was imaginatively entitled Debut. For a first impression, it was appositely designated I suppose, as is this – the first we’ve heard in literal months: Resurgence. A euphoric swell of minimalist electronica beaded with syncopated glitches and overpowered by a devastating four-on-the-floor climax, it’s down as being as yetUnfinished. Vocally, it breaks off into something a little unkempt in its middle moments, though ultimately it’s another almost impeccably produced surge; an invigorating return.
