A sharp-eyed man from Darlington claims to have spotted the outline of the elusive Loch Ness Monster on Apple Maps’ satellite images.
Andrew Dixon, 26, is one of two people who independently spotted Nessie on Apple Maps, telling the Daily Mail:
“It was a total fluke that I found it. I was looking at satellite images of my town and then just thought I’d have a look at Loch Ness.”
Some have described the 30m-long dark blur as the wake of a boat, but the boat seems to be missing from the picture, and there have never been submarines in the loch.
It is most likely a glitch in the stitching together of the satellite images, but that is just too much of a coincidence for some.
