Two men claiming to be North Korean officials have confronted a London hairdresser over a poster in his salon window mocking Kim Jong-un’s haircut.

The poster in Mo Nabbach’s M&M Hair Academy in South Ealing, west London featured a picture of the North Korean leader alongside the words “Bad Hair Day?”, with the salon taking a swipe at the recent news that all men in the country should cut their hair in the style of the dictator.

The visit from the North Korean heavies, who did not produce any identification or share Kim’s distinctive hairstyle, did not convince Nabbach to take down the poster, instead the hair stylist took it down because of what he described as “overwhelming” interest from passers-by and that it was too big and blocked out the light.

Nabbach was apparently unaware of the North Korean embassy being only a ten-minute walk from his salon, but after the visit he did go to the local police station to make sure there were no repercussions, but no offence had been disclosed.
