Secretary of State for Health has had a tough few weeks after announcing his plans for a seven-day NHS, with doctors and nurses across the board condemning his comments and a petition calling for a vote of of no confidence in his leadership surpassing 200,000 signatures.

Hunt was already an unpopular figure after being shown to be problematically close to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp during the discussions to give the company unprecedented control over British media, and now his lack of understanding of how the NHS works is turning him into a pariah.

Deciding that well reasoned arguments against his ideas on NHS reform were not enough to complete his transformation into joke figure, Channel 4 comedy show The Last Leg decided to send a sousaphone-player to follow him for the day.

The idea came from a similar video posted online last week when a sousaphone-player managed to disarm the menace of a Ku Klux Klan (KKK) rally in South Carolina, US, by playing comedy tunes alongside a few bars of Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries.
